New ward, April 2016

On April 17th, we found out our culdesac would be going to a new ward in a new chapel.  We were shocked because it was only our street and not our sister street, right next to us!  For a couple of days, I was on the phone commiserating with the neighbors.  Brad put Jack to bed while I was on the phone.
And then the fellowshipping began!  The RS brought peanut butter chocolate bars, the Mia Maids brought a cookie plate, Linda brought chocolate chip cookies, the ward had a BBQ welcoming party, the Karens brought Kneaders sweet bread, and the home teachers brought chocolate chip cookies.
Our old ward brought treats, too!  Dorene brought chocolate chip cookies, Nikki brought cupcakes, Penney brought chocolate chip cookies and a card signed by Jack's primary class, and the Primary made a custom t-shirt for Jack and an apron for me.  They were signed by all the primary kids!
On the first Sunday in the new ward, Jack begged me to go home after Sacrament Meeting.  He was brave to go to the new Primary anyway.  There were three other boys, and Jack said they made him laugh the whole time!  Hopefully the teachers were ok with that. :-).
Our second Sunday in church went just as smoothly.  What started out as a big upheaval has turned out well.  :-)

Trying to get in through the window

Every morning since last Tuesday, this robin has been pounding on the window every morning trying to get in.  She is not afraid of us, either.  Funny bird.

Calm after the storm

It is very peaceful today.  Even the deer feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood.
